Description

This course offers competence-based training which provides students with ability to execute, in the real world, relevant tasks to a specified level of proficiency. We use professional and experienced lecturers to teach real world accounting skills in order to equip aspiring accountants with the professional competencies needed to provide services that are relevant in the globalized and rapidly digitizing age in which business transactions are increasingly complex. In this regard students are also taught how to use accounting packages such as PASTEL, Tally etc. Additionally, this course enables students to combine practice and theoretical knowledge of financial accounting. The course will provide decision making skills in the financial analysis and ability to identify financial accounting problems and opportunities in real life situations.

Entry Requirements

Form Six (VI)

  1. Two principal passes in the following subjects: Economics, Accountancy, Commerce, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography or Mathematics.
  2. An applicant must have at least a subsidiary or pass in Mathematics at O’ level if one of the principal passes is not Mathematics.
  3. The two principal passes MUST make an aggregate of 4.0 points as a minimum or Foundation Programme of the OUT with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

NTA LEVEL 6

  1. Lower Second Class Diploma with a GPA of 3.0 in Finance and Banking , Economics and Finance , Insurance and Risk Management, Cooperative Management and Accounting , Economics, Taxation, Credit Management , Procurement and Logistics Management or Accountancy , Microfinance Management, or any related qualification AND 4 passes at O level or Foundation Programme of the OUT with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
