This course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the microfinance fundamentals and how microfinance activities are implemented, evaluated and managed. The course is expected to develop competencies necessary for effective management of Microfinance Institutions. A graduate in Accountancy and Microfinance diploma is expected to acquire competences and skills necessary to keep financial records and manage microfinance institutions. In addition, the course will provide an understanding of principles and good practices in managing microfinance institutions. The course is designed to address the needs of financial institutions and SACCOS in the area of accountancy and Microfinance.
